The real problem with a delivered burger
A burger does not travel well, and everyone has received a disappointing order at some point. Three things go wrong, each for a different reason.
The bun goes soggy. Steam from the patty stays trapped in the closed packaging and soaks the bun from underneath. It is the most common problem, and it shows within fifteen minutes.
The fries go soft. Shut in the same bag as the hot burger, they lose their crispiness almost immediately.
The sauce runs. A burger carried on its side or shaken about falls apart, and the sauce soaks everything else.
