The cost of the shopping is not known in advance

This is the main difference from the other MOVO services. For a meal or a parcel, we give a fixed price. For shopping, we can only give the delivery fee: the amount of the purchases depends on the day's prices, especially at the souk where prices change every week.

Our way of handling this is simple. You set a maximum budget and the driver stays within it. If he goes over, he calls you before paying. The receipt is always handed to you with the shopping, and you pay back exactly what is on it. We take no margin on purchases.

How much we can carry

Our drivers ride scooters. That sets a practical limit: about two to three shopping bags per trip, or around fifteen kilos. A gas bottle, a six-pack of water bottles or a family's end-of-month shopping is more than that.

In that case, there are two options. Either we organise two trips, with a supplement for the second. Or we point you to a suitable transport service. Just tell us the approximate volume in your message, and we will tell you what is possible before we start.

Where we do the shopping

We go to any shop in the 31 neighbourhoods we cover. One practical point to remember: the delivery fee is based on the full trip, from the shop to your door. Choosing a shop close to your address therefore lowers the cost. If you have no preference, tell us: we will go to the one nearest to you. How much does the service cost?

The driver calls you from the shop. You choose a replacement, another brand, or remove the item from the list. Nothing is decided for you.
